Recipes by Anita Jacobson

Anita layers flavors and textures in the food she makes, creating Italian dishes that are subtly creative and adventurous.
  • Primavera

    Pasta with Alfredo Sauce

Pancetta and anchovy fillets complement the saltiness of the Alfredo sauce while deepening the flavor.

  • Chicken Parmesan

    Chicken Parmesan with Caponata

Sweet and sour caponata—a mix of eggplant, capers, olives, celery and tomatoes—intensifies the flavors in Anita's version.

  • Baked Pasta

    Eggplant & Cheese Timbale

Rich layers of sausage, cheese and pasta sit atop an elegant eggplant "crust."

  • Slow Food & Braising

    Braised Lamb Shanks

Sweet potatoes are complemented by the addition of cinnamon and honey.

  • Small Plates

    Creamed Spinach on Polenta

This simple appetizer elevates spinach dip to something more elegant and only takes 20 minutes to make.

  • Spaghetti & Meatballs

    Baked Meatballs in Tomato-Lime Sauce

Breadcrumbs give Anita's meatballs texture while zesty lime, spicy-sweet cumin and earthy turmeric further season the sauce.

  • Pizza

    Pita Pizzas

Roasted red peppers, aromatic garlic, and creamy ricotta lend a flavorful flair to pocket pizzas.

  • Shellfish & Seafood

    Cioppino

Fennel and Bertolli® Marinara with Burgundy red wine sweeten up this mix of fish and shellfish.
